Games we learned to play…

Shooting game

Location: outdoors / indoors

Players: 1 umpire in the middle, the rest: standing in a circle

The person in the middle shoots with his finger at somebody standing in the circle. In order not to get hit, the person shot at has to bow immediately. His neighbours then shoot at each other. The faster survives, the slower dies. The game keeps on going on this way, until only two players are left. The umpire then chooses a number between one and ten, e.g. three. The two people left stand back by back and make one step with each number the umpire says. They don’t have to be in a row.

As soon as the umpire says a number with a three in it for example 359, the two shoot at each other and again, the faster wins.

Chair game

Location: indoors

Players: 1 in the middle, the rest: in a circle, sitting on chairs

The person in the middle asks somebody whether he likes his neighbours or not. His answers can be yes or no. If he says yes he has to name a group of persons which he doesn’t like, for example people wearing a red scarf. Then these people have to get up and try to catch another seat.

If he says no, his neighbours have to swap seats. In both cases, the person who asked the question tries to get one of the seats. The person now left over now has to ask the question and so on. This game doesn’t have a real end. Stop before it gets tiring.
